EU27 agriculture & forestry burned 608 938 TJ of gas oil & diesel in 2023 (Eurostat) — roughly 16.9 billion litres. Add Switzerland’s 150 million litres (Agroscope/OFAG) and the European agricultural & forestry diesel base reaches ~17.1 Bn L per year.
